Dear Parent,

My name is Patricia M. Dominguez and I am looking for an interest from the Barneveld and surrounding area for:

- A preschool prep class for 3 and 4 year olds.
- Individual tutoring.
- Spanish Introduction.
- Latin Introduction.

GAP3 could be a class on Tuesdays and Thursdays for three year olds. The class would be about an hour and fifteen minutes each day. Its focus would be to introduce appropriate developmental milestones, literacy, math, play, speech, manners, and social interaction with peers in an educational setting. This class will help your child explore learning and begin to connect the dots from toddler to preschooler. This class will be $12 per class with a total of $24 per week.

GAP4 would be a class on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for four year olds that will are not eligible for the 4-Kindergarten class at the public schools. The class would be about two hours and fifteen minutes each day.  Its focus would be to prepare your child for preschool by introducing appropriate developmental milestones, literacy, math, play, speech, manners, and social interaction with peers in an educational setting. This class will help your child explore learning and begin to connect the dots from preschooler to school age ready. This class will be $16 per class with a total of $48 per week.

Individual Tutoring would be available for all ages with limited slots available. Strengths and weaknesses would be identified along with any gaps in your child’s age and/or grade standards. Gaps and weaknesses would be the focus of the tutoring sessions before working towards enhancing any of the areas in which strength is displayed. Tutoring would be for half an hour, one day a week, and include positive mentoring in regards to learning and education. Each half hour of tutoring will be $8 per session with a total of $8 per week.

Spanish Introduction would be one afternoon per week for one hour per class. It would be a group setting and its focus would be to introduce the language and its culture. Exposure and the intent of teaching the value of long term foreign language study will be the goal. Age minimum 4. Each class will be $12 with a total of $12 per week

Latin Introduction would be one afternoon per week for one hour per class. It would be a group setting and its focus would be to introduce the language and its culture. Exposure and the intent of teaching the value of long term foreign language study will be the goal. Age minimum is 10. Each class will be $12 with a total of $12 per week.

Each class would be a trial since it is new to the community and will run on an 8 week cycle. A one-time fee of approximately $10-20 may apply for workbooks and/or supplies (which could potentially last the entire school year).  Depending on interest, the study of the foreign languages could be broken down into different groups.

Location has not been determined. I am looking for interest before taking further action in securing the materials, location, and additional information. Please complete the survey by 3 August if you are interested.  Thank you.
